Rose Hill Quilts

About Me

My name is Sara, and I grew up in Spain, where I learned the basics of sewing from my grandmother, a talented seamstress. When I was 16, I was volunteering in the school library and expressed an interest in learning how to quilt. The librarian responded, β€œWell, you’re in luck because I’m the president of the quilters’ guild!”—true story! She taught me traditional piecing, foundation paper piecing (FPP), and basic quilting skills, and I got to experiment with her extensive fabric stash.

Since then, quilting has been my main creative outlet. I love working with bright colors, fun prints, and especially big medallion quiltsβ€”they’re my favorite! I now live in Oxford, UK, where I teach quilting and share my passion for fabric with others.
