Rose Hill Quilts
About Me
My name is Sara, and I grew up in Spain, where I learned the basics of sewing from my grandmother, a talented seamstress. When I was 16, I was volunteering in the school library and expressed an interest in learning how to quilt. The librarian responded, βWell, youβre in luck because Iβm the president of the quiltersβ guild!ββtrue story! She taught me traditional piecing, foundation paper piecing (FPP), and basic quilting skills, and I got to experiment with her extensive fabric stash.
Since then, quilting has been my main creative outlet. I love working with bright colors, fun prints, and especially big medallion quiltsβtheyβre my favorite! I now live in Oxford, UK, where I teach quilting and share my passion for fabric with others.
